Basic Sidearm skills

In this day and age of Police Officers achieving “competence” in skills, the ability of those Officers to be “trained” in practical skills has been severely diminished.

Especially in the area of firearms.

Police shootings in Australia are not exactly rare, but for some reason the standard taught to Police is to achieve the absolute bare minimum when shooting a few rounds at a stationary paper target. Indeed, it is almost taboo to seek further training, or to even voice the opinion that more training would be preferable, out of fear of being seen to be too “gung-ho”.

After 18 years of using firearms in some capacity, and having been trained by both the worst and best, I have picked up a little knowledge. I do not claim to be an expert, but merely someone who has learnt a thing or two.

But with that knowledge comes the awareness that the current practice of having a “qualification” shoot once every six or twelve months is not sufficient to maintain proficiency in a skill, much less a skill that is proven to erode due to the stress associated with being involved in a lethal incident.

Here are a few tips for those of you who care enough about your training to be willing to learn how to do things correctly. The skills outlined below can be practiced in the comfort of your lounge room, or on the firing range. They are not skills to make you a more accurate shooter on a comfortable shooting range, but to assist you in surviving the fight when someone is trying to kill you.

I practice all these skills at least once a day. 60 seconds a day, practicing these skills is enough for you to increase and maintain your handgun shooting skills far beyond what you are taught to achieve “competence” on the shooting range. These skills can even be maintained with 60 seconds of dry-fire practice. Is that too much to ask?

If you think you don’t need these skills, think about this: “Competency” is achieving the bare minimum amount of skills required to absolve your organisation from legal liability if you are injured or killed.

Do you think that is a sufficient amount of training for you to survive when someone is trying to kill you?

Breathing

Breathing, believe it or not, is under-rated. You do not merely breathe to live, but correct breathing is a technique that can be used to control your body during periods of stress. Slow and deep breaths will help slow your heart-rate and make your movements smoother and closer to perfection. Correct breathing is the foundation of effective combat shooting, and should be practiced at every opportunity. The easiest way to “learn” how to control your breathing is as outlined by Lt Col Dave Grossman when talking about “tactical breathing”. The four-count breathing is used to calm yourself and regain control of your body during times of stress. The “four-count” is simply saying to yourself, “One thousand, two thousand, three thousand, four thousand.”

Now do this: Breathe in for a four-count. Hold it for a four-count. Breathe out for a four-count, and then hold it for a four-count.

Do that four times, and your heart-rate will have slowed, and your concentration will be focused. Once you have practiced this, your breathing skills will become much better when shooting. Practice your breathing when practicing ANY shooting technique, so that it becomes an unconscious skill.

Wrist / forearm strength

Like it or not, if your organisation has not yet moved to semi-automatic sidearms, it soon will. The most common cause for a pistol jamming is through weak wrists. You need to have the strength to hold the weapon firmly as it is cycling to allow the slide to come back far enough to eject the spent case and load a new round from the magazine. I have seen people with weak forearms get stoppage after stoppage after stoppage through this one error.

If you do not exercise your wrists and forearms, then now is the time to start. When someone is trying to kill you, do you really want your sidearm to jam after the first shot?

Having said that, you should now realise that keeping your wrists locked and using your forearms when shooting is important. Practice it. A lot of people recoil from a shot when they are firing which only causes their weapon to jam. It is YOUR weapon. Control the damn thing!

Mindset?

This goes to mindset. When I was about 17 years old and fresh to the Army, I was tasked to load a mass of twisted barbed wire onto the back of a truck. Some crusty old Corporal told us the secret. If we tried not to get hurt by the barbed wire, we would get cut.

If we focused on grabbing the barbed wire and making it do what we wanted to, we might get cut, but we wouldn’t get hurt.

And it worked.

The same goes with handgun shooting. Do not worry about the noise or the recoil of the handgun. Focus on getting that one round to go exactly where you want it to go. I refuse to let my handgun control me. I make it do what I want. So should you.

Every time you practice your shooting, every time you are “forced” to spend time in the sun sweating on the firing line, remember why you are there. You are there to practice skills which will save your life. If you think you will never be shot at, if you think you will never have to use your firearm, then think about this: Do you only wear your seatbelt when you are going to have a vehicle accident?

Startle Response

“Startle Response”. Look it up. When faced with an unexpected physical threat, the body reacts before the mind has time to understand the threat. You will face the threat, your knees will bend, your torso will curl, and your arms will come up in front of your body to protect your vital organs.

The startle response position should be the start position for any shooting drill you perform. Not the silly “field interview stance” that looks like something out of a B-grade karate movie, but the real reactionary stance that you are likely to be in when someone tries to kill you. This provides you with the muscle memory to be able to rapidly draw your weapon and fire when someone is trying to kill you. That saved half a second could literally mean the difference between life and death.

Front-on versus side-on

There is a lot of debate out there over whether the isosceles stance or the weaver stance is more accurate when shooting.

We’re not talking about the firing range here, but in a life or death fight, so I will only talk about that.

Part of the “startle response” described above is that your body will face the threat. That’s a fact, so let’s deal with it. Another consideration is that if you are wearing body armour, the armour is more effective if hit in the front. So with those two considerations in mind, you should practice your shooting when facing the target, as that is the position you will already be in. Remember half a second might be the difference between life and death.

An additional consideration is that it is easier to move whilst keeping your weapon on the threat when facing the threat than it is if you are side on to the threat.

So, your shooting drills should result in you facing the threat when shooting.

Stance

A simple concept here. When shooting you want the most stable platform you can achieve. You don’t want your shots to put you off balance.

Your feet should be shoulder-width apart.

Your knees bent.

Your back should be slightly bent forward.

Your shoulders “rolled” forward.

When I practice my drills, I still say to myself, “Feet, knees, back, shoulders.” I recommend you get into this habit at least once a day, to allow yourself to get used to not only being in the best position when shooting, but allow yourself to become used to shooting from the “startle response” position.

Grip – one hand (in holster)

Without getting into the which-holster-is-better debate, it is important to realise that your grip on your sidearm before you draw your sidearm from the holster is important.

There is a saying that my American friends love, and it is apt for handgun practice. “Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.”

When practicing your handgun draws, do it SLOWLY. Make sure you grip that sidearm perfectly every single time.

Push the web of your thumb and index finger down firmly and as high on the pistol grip as you can. There should not be the slightest gap between your hand and the backstrap of the weapon. This is important to control the recoil when shooting.

Wrap your hand around the pistol grip with your index finger resting along the pistol outside the trigger guard.

Now, when you have the correct grip, you should draw your weapon to a four-count.

One – With your weak-hand on your chest, draw your sidearm straight up until it is just clear of the holster. (Breathing in)

Two – Rotate your sidearm on the horizontal plane 45 degrees so it is now pointing towards the threat, but still at your hip. If necessary, you can start shooting at this point. (Breathing in)

Three – From the hip, bring your sidearm up, still pointing at the threat, to your chest, to meet your weak-hand. (Breathing in)

Four – With a firm two-handed grip, punch your sidearm straight out towards the threat at arm’s length. Your breath should be forcibly pushed out of your lungs to the point where someone standing 10 meters away can hear it.

Grip: Two-handed

One thing that needs to be explained further is the two-handed grip. It is amazing how many Police Firearms instructors are not able to teach this correctly. The reason for a firm two-handed grip is to assist in the recoil control. If there is a gap in your grip, the weapon will twist to that gap, making your shots off-target. So the goal in a correct two-handed grip is to have no gaps in your grip.

Your master-hand should already be firmly and correctly gripping the sidearm. Your weak-hand should now come up to match that. Your weak-hand does not “cup” the pistol to take the weight, a common error, as that does nothing for recoil control.

When you look at your master-hand on your sidearm, you will see a curved gap from the bottom of the heel of your palm, running up past the tip of your fingers, and underneath your thumb.

Your weak-hand heel sits in the gap on the pistol grip between your master-hand heel and fingertips.

Your weak-hand thumb slides into the gap underneath your master-hand thumb. Common mistake – Do NOT cross your master-hand thumb over your weak-hand thumb. This creates a gap in your grip. Your two thumbs should be lying horizontally along the side of the sidearm, with your weak-thumb on bottom and master-thumb on top.

The four fingers of your weak-hand should fold around the three fingers of your master-hand that are holding the pistol grip. The grip should be firm, but not too tight to cause fatigue quickly.

Practice this grip a few times, ensuring that you do it slowly and get used to the correct grip.

Another common teaching flaw, especially in this day and age of range-safety mentality is to have shooters holding their firearm at arm’s length constantly, even when not shooting. This is an error.

In combat, and that is what Police face when they are being placed in lethal encounters, you should not be tiring your arms out by holding your sidearm at arm’s-length all the time.

When moving, assessing threats, scanning your surroundings etc, there is nothing wrong with holding your sidearm in close to your chest. You can still have it pointed it at the threat, without tiring your arms needlessly. I refer to this as the “close grip”. This position is preferred to the “low-ready” where your sidearm is held at arm’s length pointed at a 45 degree angle to the ground.

The reason? The close grip position allows you to get your sidearm on target immediately without tiring your arms out.

Now to the actual shooting.

As you are punching your sidearm towards the threat, you are forcing the breath out of your lungs. A common misconception is that you should hold on to ¼ of your breath, but here’s another secret. Your body’s muscles are at their most relaxed when you have released all your breath.

Common sense dictates that you can’t hold onto empty lungs indefinitely, so you will need to shoot within a reasonable amount of time.

So, you are punching your sidearm, with a two-handed grip, towards your target. As you do so, you focus on the target, and where you want your round to land. You then focus on your front sight to make sure it is on target. Your focus then moves back to the rear sight to make sure it is lined up with your front sight. Back to the target for a final check, then front sight is focused only as you squeeze the trigger as far back as you can, focusing only on squeezing that trigger.

It helps to talk yourself through it, “Target - Front sight - Rear sight – Target - Front sight - Squeeze.”

Another common error when shooting is finger placement on the trigger. The tip of the index finger should be placed on the trigger, as opposed to shoving as much of your finger as possible inside the trigger guard. When you do not use your fingertip, the angle of your finger squeezing is not directly backwards, creating a “twisting” pressure on the sidearm, which results in round placement to the side of your point of aim.

The preferred area to be placed on the trigger is ¾ of the distance from the end of your index finger to the first joint, (being closer to your first joint).

Once you have fired that shot, you need to remain focused on what you are doing. Keep the trigger depressed, and slowly release the pressure on the trigger whilst keeping your sidearm on target. Assess your threat, and re-engage if necessary.

If your threat is neutralised, you should then scan the area. This serves two purposes. Firstly it breaks the perfectly natural physiological response of “tunnel vision”, a form of perceptual distortion caused by stress in a lethal encounter, and secondly it allows you to assess for any other threats in your vicinity.

Whilst you scan the area, you may bring your sidearm back to the close grip. Another option is to keep your weapon on the threat when you scan to your left and right, and only bring the weapon back to the close grip when scanning behind you. I’ll leave that up to you, but whichever option you decide, practice it every time you conduct your drills.

All the basic drills I have outlined in this article are to be practiced and perfected prior to even considering more advanced drills. With the severe lack of practical firearms training in Australia for our members of Law Enforcement, the only way to increase your chance of survivability in a lethal encounter is to take responsibility for your own skill maintenance.

The best time to start is right now. Stand up, find some privacy and practice these skills now!

This is for all of you shaft experts/people who have been fitted for driver shafts....?

So, I was finally fitted, and the pro gave me 3 driver shaft options that I should get:

1. UST Accra Tour70 shaft (torque- 2.9 $140)
2.UST Proforce V2 High Launch (torque 2.9 $81.15)
3. UST IRod .335 (torque- 2.6 $61.50)

(Canadian prices at this one store where I got fitted)

So, I learned that the lower the torque, the better. The IRod is the cheapest, and has the lowest torque (the pro can't explain why its priced like that, but anyways). I was wondering on if anyone has any reviews on these shafts, or any recommendations to what I should buy. Like, if I should buy the one with the lowest torque (if low torque is the best thing to have in a shaft...and its the cheapest out of those 3)

Thanks!

# 3 definitely

Finishing Tips For Drywall

Hanging drywall is almost an art. Just ask anyone who does it professionally and they'll tell you that it takes years of practice to do a perfect job. If you're lucky enough, you might even get a few drywall finishing tips out of the conversation. If not, don't worry. Here are some drywall finishing tips that everyone can benefit from!

Make Sure You Have Everything Before You Start

Drywall finishing tip #1: You need to have at hand a taping knife spreader, application knife, joint tape, joint compound, bread pan and a corner taping tool.

Get Secure About What You're Doing

Drywall finishing tip #2: Drywall demands that all your measurements are accurate and that every panel is tightly secured to the supports that it's nailed to. Could there be anything more embarrassing than to complete a drywall job - only to have it unexpectedly fall down during dinner or entertaining guests?

Make sure that your nails are long enough to keep the panels on their supports. If you're more comfortable with using screws, then use them instead. You could even use a second set of nails as reinforcement. The important thing as that you feel as secure about your project as they're secured to its foundation!

Beware A Muddy Mess

Drywall finishing tip #3: When mixing your cement (or mud), strive for a consistency that resembles icing on a cake - not too stiff and not too loose. Essentially, you should be able to scoop some of this mud onto a trowel, hold the trowel upside down, and not lose any of the cement. At the same time, you should also be able to easily apply this cement into drywall joints without too much effort.

While mixing, take care not to "whip" the cement. A whipping action will inadvertently attract air - air which will form bubbles in drywall seams.

Mesh Your Work Into A Smooth Finish

Drywall finishing tip #4. Use mesh tape instead of paper tape. Because mesh tape is porous, it allows the cement to seep through it. The end result is much smoother than paper which is sometimes visually apparent.

Use More Glue And Save On Nails

Drywall finishing tip #5: Use an adhesive to hold panels in place. Although this technique can't and should never be used on the ceiling, you'll only need to insert nails at the edges of drywall panels.

Give Your Drywalls A Little Dimple
Drywall finishing tip #6: You can hid the heads of your nails by hammering them in just below the surface of the drywall. This might take a little practice beforehand, as you don't want the nail heads to show, but on the other hand, you don't want to break the surface of the drywall either!

Patch Like A Pro

Drywall finishing tip #7: Stuffing a hole with newspaper tends to leave weak spots on a wall. Instead, cut a sizeable circle around a hole that needs patching. Insert a support piece that will fit behind the hole, and then glue it in place with cement. After about three hours, use even more cement to adhere a small piece of drywall to the support piece you inserted earlier. When dry, cover the hole with more cement and tape. You want to continue this process in the same manner as if you were concealing a joint.

A Brief Golf Lesson On Short Irons

Golf is quite an exciting game to play, and a golf swing short game can be as exciting as well. If you are planning to hit the course and enjoy this game, a short iron golf lesson can be a great way to improve short game golf for you. Here is an article that will provide you with golf short game instruction and some basic short iron golf lesson. Check this out before you actually hit the course and enjoy your golf swing short game.

The Fundamentals

Learning about the swing can be a great advantage and proper practice can give you a good lead ahead of your competitors. For this, start with perfecting your framework and the stance, the way you stand and hold the club. These form the fundamental factors for any short iron golf lesson.

One of the most important points to understand with a golf swing short game is that you must be patient with the short iron golf lesson, and learn it slowly, step by step. You should never overlook the importance of every single step, as it may create a good deal of problems for you later on. The more you miss on initially, the weaker your foundation would be, and the more vulnerable you will be towards errors creeping into your swing.

The Most Important Factors

As I have already pointed out, the best way to improve short game golf is to get the fundamentals programmed into your systems. Your stance is definitely one of the most important factors to consider. How you stand decides how well balanced your swing will be, how well you will be able to drive power into the swing and control it in the right direction, and finally how well you will follow it through in the end.

The other important factors related to good golf short game instruction are the way you grip the club, how well you are able to hold your head, the backswing and the downswing, and finally the follow through. Each of these factors play an important role in showing you the perfectly controlled swing, getting the ball exactly where it should be headed to!

And Finally

To improve short game golf, start with these basics. Learn the right way to grip the club. Stand in the right way, with your feet apart and place the golf ball exactly where it should be placed. Level your shoulders and spine in the right way to form a “T”, and make sure you have your arms in the right position.

Finally, if you are making any errors with your swing, try to find out about the slices and wide angles, and cut these errors down with time. A good short iron golf lesson can teach you all the above points and much more, and let you become a master of the golf swing short game!

Dramatic Development of Gold Markets Over Last 8 Years

Dramatic development of gold markets over last 8 years

Gold has always had its place in many investor portfolios seen as a sef bet carrying intrinsic value. But the precious metal frequently returns to the spotlight in times of financial turmoil. In our latest BizChina 360 series, we look at gold China, its fledgling market, its production, and investment.

Our first installment, we look at dramatic developments over the last 8 years.

In 2007 China became the largest gold production country in the world-toppling South Africa from a position it had heldfor over a hundred years.

It's an exciting new century for China's gold market. That's because in 2007, China became the largest gold production country in the world-toppling South Africa from a position it had held for over a hundred years. China's gold consumption also grew multifold, and now ranks 2nd globally. And experts such as precious metals consultancy GFMS limited are confident, that the positive trend will only continue.

Philip Klapwijk, Executive Chairman of GFMS Ltd. said "The China market in 2008 will probably be the world's largest physical gold market, supply, demand, consumption. China will be the world's largest gold market in 2008; that tells you the significance of the China market."What may be even more startling is the fact that it has taken less than a decade for the country to get here. Previously, gold was managed under the old system of "unified purchase and allocation", and was strictly controlled by the central government. The development of the gold market was stagnant, at best.

But 2000 proved to be a pivotal year. Everyone in the gold industry hailed the Chinese government's move to include opening up the country's gold market in its 10th five year plan. The basic goal was to gradually loosen control of the market by establishing a new system for gold production, circulation and healthy consumption through market dynamics.

Gu Wenshuo, General Manager of General Office of Shanghai Gold Exchange said "The reform of the gold market was very critical. That's because gold represented not only a commodity, but also a financial function. It was also related to the country's gold reserve, and many other issues. As a result, China focused on reforming its gold management system. Under those circumstances, we did thorough investigation of the market conditions, and learned from the experience of other countries. On such basis, the State Council ratified the People's Bank of China to establish a gold market to adjust gold resources."So at the turn of the millennium over 20 years after China began to shift towards a market economy, the country finally launched its market reform for the gold industry.

The first step was establishing the Shanghai Gold Exchange, which formally opened for trade in October 2002. For the first time in China's modern history, the country's gold price was fully determined by the open market.

Enterprises were no longer confined with limited volume. They were free to buy or sell gold through the exchange, and at a price that was determined by the supply and demand of the precious metal.

The opening up of the market injected vigor into China's gold industry, and significantly boosted development of mining, manufacturing and investment, and many other aspects. But there was a catch. In the early days, the Shanghai Gold Exchange was offering only spot transactions. As a result, most of the market players were gold miners, jewelry merchants, and other entities engaged in the gold industry. Gold investments such as gold future products were not available. In contrast, 97 percent of the worldwide gold trade was gold futures. So-that led to more development. "But it was not until 2004 before the country came out with more clear guidelines to develop the gold market. Speaking at an international gold summit that year, China's central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan spelt out 3 targets for the sector, applauded by many industry insiders.

Liu Yuning, Senior Vice President of Jingyi Gold Co., Ltd. said "The central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan said the yellow medal should evolve from a solely consumable to investment product, while its trading should change from spot transactions to gold derivatives and move from domestic markets to overseas. From 2003 to 2008, we can see gold transforming into an investment product. When we talk about gold, many will now not only think about gold jewelry, but paper gold and gold trading at the exchange."For the second target, there have been a lot of changes undertaken through years. After research and preparation, the Shanghai Gold Exchange first launched T+D products in 2004, (which allow investors to bid first but delay the spot transaction of real gold), as a stop-gap to gold futures. The breakthrough came in January 2008, when the Chinese Securities Regulatory Commission ratified the Shanghai Futures Exchange to launch gold futures products.

Li Wenfeng, Trader of Huaxia Bank said "The move has significant meaning. China ranks among top gold producers, but has little impact on gold prices. The launch of gold future is an important complement to China's financial system. If we further relax controls on gold import and export, we will have more say in pricing the precious metal. Gold future is a good start. For individual and corporate investors, it is a new alternative."Another important step has been combining the domestic market with the global gold market. The People's Bank of China gave the Shanghai Stock Exchange the go-ahead to include 5 locally incorporated foreign banks in its membership this June. The Standard Chartered made a Chinese-style debut on August 8th by trading 88 kilogram gold at the Shanghai stock exchange. It hoped the 4 "8"s will bring luck to its future development in China's commodity markets.

And with current economic climate in such a turmoil, gold has never looked better.

Wang Lixin, GM of World Gold Council of Greater China said "With the increased income level of the population, with more mature of the gold market, with more products availability in the market place, in terms of the unstable financial market and a weaker US dollar, maybe some concerns about the global currency. We believe consumer will have the interest to buy gold.""I am now at the People's Bank of China, which serves as the only management of China's gold system. However, it has now taken off from here to evolve into a very robust market. Many would say recent developments in China's gold market has been staggering. People may ask how has this happened so quickly? Many credit the country's macro-economic environment: China's opening-up policy. The question now is, can it be sustained? Even though experts are bullish about the country's future gold industry, China's increased integration with the global economy does make it vulnerable to its highs-and its lows. But the fact that more and more people are turning to gold as an investment channel could spell an even brighter future for China's gold industry. "

Selecting the Correct Golf Club Shaft

If you are selecting out some new Golf Clubs for your personal enjoyment, one of the biggest factors will be selecting the right shaft. The shaft of a golf club is the metal that connects the handle to the head, and effectively holds the entire golf club together. It plays a huge role in the swing of the club. Selecting the right one can have a huge effect on your whole game, but you have to consider many things when selecting it. The best thing you can do is get a seasoned golfer to help you out in this matter, and try out enough golf clubs to feel confident in your choice. There are, however, a few guidelines that will always be helpful for someone picking out a golf club shaft. Pay attention to them, and you can make a wise choice when picking out your golf clubs.

The length of the shaft is definitely the factor that needs the most thought put into it. Since everyone’s swing techniques and height are different, the shaft you choose will have to be tailored personally to you. One way that people determine their desired length is to measure from their navel straight down to the floor. Once you grip the club and lean over to make your stroke, you will find that the length is almost always perfect. However, if you don’t lean as much as other people (or you lean further), the length will have to be altered. Just try out a few lengths before you decide on one, and you should end up being happy with the length of the golf clubs that you choose. However, that’s not all.

Golf club shafts also have another factor that is specified by the manufacturer, and this is the flex of the club. If you try to bend it with your bare hands you won’t notice it bending visibly, but when you swing your club it does bend in an almost imperceptible amount. This can largely affect your game, especially if you are used to using another type of club with a different amount of flex. The main thing that changes your choice of flex is the speed of your swing. Do you put all of your force and speed into a swing, or do you do it more delicately? The faster swings will probably be better off with a stiffer shaft. Club shops should be able to help you determine how much flex you need.

Most of these things can be altered by the material that the club is built out of. The two most popular materials are steel and graphite. Each one has its own unique characteristics – generally graphite is considered to be the more professional choice, but you may find that steel shafts work perfectly well for you. The steel shafts are heavier and more durable, and usually cheaper than graphite. However, graphite is perfect for those who prefer lighter clubs and higher torque ratings. The needs of a golfer can range across many different variables, but many find that their needs fall within the offerings of steel shafts.

Lots of golfers find that they are fine with simply sticking to the golf club shafts that they have learned on. However, if you are a dynamic golfer and you feel that you can improve your game by buying a shaft that is more suited to you, then you will find that it can increase your enjoyment of golf by quite a bit. The right shaft paired with the right person can work wonders. Therefore you should consider all of the factors that have been discussed here, and decide how you can use them to your benefit. With the help of expert golfers along with club store employees, you should be able to use the combined knowledge to pick out something great to replace your current clubs.

Take Your Swing at High-quality, Affordable Clone Irons

Many golfers, either professional players or just beginners, have a hard time choosing which golf club to buy. The playing strength of a golfer depends on the golf club used; the quality of the swing is also based on the type of golf club used. In order for the buying process to be simple, the customer must have a good understanding of what types of Golf Clubs are available and their specific use.

Novice golfers should have a basic set of clubs that consist of: drivers, wedges, putters and irons. Opsgolf.com offers high-quality, affordable clone irons; these are versatile and can be used for any type of shot or distance. Iron clubs represent the number one choice when it comes to short shots but they can also be used for a wide variety of other shots.

In choosing iron clubs, one must take into consideration the style, size and type of material used in making the shaft. The price of the club is very important and one must remember that in buying a club, high price does not mean high-quality; you must carefully choose which club to buy and examine it closely before buying it. High-quality, affordable clone irons can be found in Opsgolf.com, such as Power Max GX920 which is made using the latest technology. This type is expected to increase ball velocity, reaching a greater distance at a slower swing speed.

The shaft is another part of the club that is very important. The shaft is sometimes referred as the flex or the bend. The less the bend in the shaft, the more control the player will have and thus a more powerful swing it will produce. The average swing of a beginner golf player is 65 miles per hour but for a powerful swinger it can reach 100 miles per hour.

When shopping for golf clubs, you have to search for a balance between price and quality. Patience is essential in buying a golf club. Golf clubs can be bought from sports houses, specialty shops, catalogs and also on the Internet. Just look around, search the Internet and specialized websites like opsgolf.com. It will take a lot of effort and dedication in choosing high-quality, affordable clone irons but in the end it will all be worth it.

The price of the club will depend on the type of set bought and the place from where you purchased it. Opsgolf.com offers high-quality, affordable clone irons and gives golfers an idea on what they are about to buy. They describe what the golf club is made of and even describe how the club works. With affordable prices and a variety of choices, it’s impossible not to enjoy yourself at opsgolf.com!

Some Description-- Golf Irons (Iii)

You may know that Golf Clubs are very important to a golf game, and the clubs including golf drivers, golf putters, golf irons, wood, and so on. you should understant how the different clubs work.

If you understand how the different types of golf irons work, you can start to pick out the golf irons that will be helpful for your game.

Keep in mind that it is not always important to use the iron that will give you the farthest distance. i.e., long irons in a set of your TaylorMade Burner Plus Irons 4-9PAS. Often times you will want to use your mid irons-5, 6, or 7 that will aid you in hitting shorter shots. This is why it is important to buy a full set of well rounded clubs, so that you have a club ready for any situation that might arise.

In some situations you will need to purchase golf irons separately. For instance, one's 1 iron might be come from TaylorMade r7 TP Irons and others are included in another typical set of clubs. The 1 iron and 2 iron clubs have long shaft, a thin club head, and do not provide much loft. This means that a beginning golfer probably is not going to want to learn with these types of clubs because they are typically not suited for novice players.

Therefore, it is best to start with a general set of clubs, and then purchase 1 and 2 irons from another brand like taylormade r9 irons once you start to hone your skills. Most experts also advise that beginners and recreational players stay away from the 3 and 4 irons, and use fairway woods or utility clubs like TaylorMade r7 CGB Max Fairway Wood instead.
